MIKROE, a company known for speeding up development with its innovative hardware and software, has just launched the LR 11 Click. This new board is part of MIKROE’s huge collection of over 1,750 mikroBUS-enabled Click boards. What makes LR 11 Click special? It helps designers achieve long-range, energy-efficient, and secure bi-directional 915MHz LoRaWAN communication.
The board features the Ezurio 453-00139R LoRaWAN module, which packs in both the Silicon Labs EFR32 SoC and the Semtech SX1262 radio. Supporting LoRaWAN classes A, B, and C, it operates in the 902-928MHz range and can transmit with up to 22dBm of power, reaching distances of up to 15km. With its regulatory approvals and certifications, it’s perfect for IoT devices, asset tracking, smart homes, industrial automation, and other applications where long-range, battery-powered sensors are needed.
Nebojsa Matic, CEO of MIKROE, said: “A special feature of the LR 11 Click is an additional mikroBUS socket, which expands the board’s functionality with peripherals such as sensors and LCDs. Added Click boards can communicate with the onboard 453-00139R module through UART, SPI, or I2C interfaces.”
The LR 11 Click is fully compatible with any system supporting the mikroBUS standard. It comes with mikroSDK open-source libraries and example code, offering great flexibility for customization. Another unique feature is the ClickID, which lets the host system automatically detect and identify the Click board.
The package also includes an 868/915MHz FlexDIPOLE antenna, specially tuned for the Ezurio 453-00139R module, ensuring strong connectivity and top performance for long-range communication projects.
